This twin tower building is a beautiful sight to look at and has been constructed incredibly during the time period of 1888-1893. Inspired by the Gothic architect style, this church is beautiful from the inside out. The interior is praised endlessly by the tourists and it is quite enough to take your breath away as well. The walls of inside the church are covered with teals, vivid reds and other eye catching decorations which leave you awestruck. St. Ludmila Church is located at Namesti Miru, Prague 2. It overlooks Peace Square and the twin towers are visible from afar too!
The basic reason why this church is a good tourist spot is due to its great architect and wonderfully eye catching interior. It has been designed very carefully and holds a lot of beauty! Also, this building is not built by a single designer or architect. The one and most famous artists or that time, worked on this building collectively or from time to time. This is why, it is nothing less than a piece of art for the people of the Czech Republic. Names like Josef Václav Myslbek worked on the building. Myslbek is the creator of the St. Wenceslas Statue too.
The church is open at 4.30 pm daily for the masses. However, on Sundays, it opens at 11 am. The church also remains open at the nights of open churches. This is usually at the time of May end or June beginning.
If you love to admire architectural details and have an artistic mind then you must visit this place. It is actually all about art and design!
